I have been trying for 9 months to get my gold back or to be fairly compensated. They do not return any emails or faxed claim forms and you cannot get them on the phone. I called the day after receiving a lousy $24 check for .63 ounces of 14k and 10k gold and told them to return my gold to me. After several calls I was told it was “accidentally” melted down and to file a claim. It took months to get the claim for and I have submitted it 2 times and still no response from mygoldenvelope.com.
This is a Rip Off! Do on use them!
I am seriously thinking of suing this company.
None of what they promise is true.
They say they will send a check in two weeks. On the website it says 48 hours. Which one?
My stuff has been gone for at least four weeks.
I tried to track it on their website today and got an error, ‘Missing Src’.
I will NEVER do business with them ever again.
I reported them to the BBB today and I suggest everyone who has had a problem with them do the same.
I used gold envelope to sell some gold 44 grams of 10k and I used a local broker (his e-mail is db4122@yahoo.com) I send the local buyer the same amount. I recieved three times the amount from the local guy. I suggest everyone to e-mail my guy, he is very honest and pays great. db4122@yahoo.com

It has been over one month since I sent my gold to mygoldenvelope.com! The first check I received was for $28.97. I called them to question the amount since I sent over 22g of gold to them. They immediately said an error had been made and that “corporate” had authorized them to increase the refund to $116.00. I asked what would happen if I called to complain again? Would the amount quadruple again? They insist it would not. The money was supposed to go into my paypal account but the money arrived by check after two weeks not 48 hours. When I requested that my gold be returned to me they said it would be returned that day. Several days later I received a message to call them immediately. I thought they had come to their senses and were going to increase my payment. In fact, they were looking for the $28 check. I told them I was going to rip it up. They said they would not return my gold until the check was returned. I am reporting them to the BBB and writing a scathing letter to mygoldenvelope.com when I return their pittance of a check. I am sure my gold will never be returned. Unbelievable! Nothing is like the commercial said it would be!!!
I sent them my gold because their site said they pay more than ANY OF THEIR COMPETITION. Well, the competition offered me $46 for my gold. Since MY GOLD ENVELOPE would beat that price, PLUS the $20 bonus promo they were running at the time, I was expecting a check for at LEAST $66. About 2 weeks later, I got a check for $13.
Like others here, I told them I wanted my gold back. They told me I’d have to mail the $13 check back to them (can’t just tear it up) at MY cost. Right. Make it as difficult as possible in hopes of deterring the customer from insisting on their gold being returned.
Then (of course) after telling them the other sites offered me $46, their payout (should I say “offer”?) magically went up to $41, which according to my limited math skills is still LESS than their competition. Not to mention I NEVER GOT THE $20 BONUS either!
2 weeks later, having never received the rest of my money, I called them again, only to be told that someone made a mistake and that my claim “had never been escalated”. I was also informed that my payout was now LESS than we had agreed upon in our last conversation. Was told to call back at another time to check on the status of my claim.
Folks, PLEASE take heed of what we are posting here! DO NOT use these RIPOFF
