Some ratings and reviews are not accepted. Typically, the following are the reasons:
- Spam. Our filters automatically detects what is believed to be spam and then deletes it. This is not 100% accurate.
- Profanity. Reviews containing these words are deleted. This is a review site, and reviewers are expected to be courteous to other readers. Reading profanity is not useful to anyone; many just use profanity as a vent.
- Irrelevant. There is no need to review a company’s service or pricing for a product; these are deleted. This is mostly a product-review site except for a few exceptions (i.e., cash for gold). For example, if you ordered a free trial, and you didn’t read the terms and conditions and then you were rebilled later; a complaint about this would not be accepted. You should review how effective the actual product was. You should also be aware that most products are available from more than one merchant (i.e., Amazon, eBay, etc.) so we cannot allow complaints about merchants, or this website would then serve an entirely different purpose.
- Fake. Companies may try to review their own product — we try to delete these.
Also, some pages we don’t accept reviews at all. Some of those pages are ones that contain a video review that seems comprehensive enough so no other user comments are necessary.
